- From an Earth where Christianity did not rise, and monotheism is seen as Very Weird. History, while similar in some respects, is also a lot different as a result.
- The year is 2025.
- Her story is very much 'by what measure is something human'.
- Also a bunch of 'how does human and humans make no sense plz help'
- It is, however, a serious story. She's the 13th of her model, and TLDR: the Australian military/Government basically paid and inducted a bunch of young, highly gifted robotic engineers into a black ops program to make them the 'perfect soliders'. Only, these specialists were not the most moral, and over the course of the next 30 years, they proceeded to not only build various iterations of the poor sods who'd one day end up as Ariel, Mira, Sarah, Brian, Alexia, and Zenos, but most of them did EXTREMELY unethical things to basically baby self-learning AIs in the name of training and programming the perfect Things. It's messed up and Sarah knows it.
- A bunch of things happened that resulted in the deaths of Alexia and Zenos and the termination of their Creators at the hands of Sarah and Ariel, but it also ended in Sarah, Ariel, and Mira escaping the labs and splitting up, thanks to Warren basically going 'fuck this' (he then vanished himself). Sarah ended up working as a bunch of things, from bouncer to gun for hire to bodyguard. A bunch more things happened that, TLDR: there was a meet-cute with Serena in a bombed-out building. Then, later things happen with the meet-cute that ended up in Serena getting shot, Sarah ???ing over the Consequences (she shot her non fatally!!?? (Sarah, you SHOT a person in the side!)), and then later, once they were back to 'Emotions are Hard but I like-like you???? so I guess I'm on your side??', Serena ended up hurt, kidnapped, and held hostage. Sarah took offence and it ends badly, to say the least. Buildings get blown up, people die. But Serena is saved!
- Please note that through this tale is the shadow of major corporations doing extremely shady things in an effort to destabilise the Government and or start a civil war for profit... and so they can reclaim the robots and test them on the field of battle. It doesn't happen, but it does come CLOSE.
- Serena and Warren both assert that Sarah is her own person.
Personality:
- How does human? It's a complicated question with a complicated answer. Most of her life, literally, was in a lab, so Sarah's not certain if she classes as a person or weapon. She'd... like to think person? Maybe?
- She can still depersonalise herself to nothing more than property and hardware.
- She tries not to, but despite the fact she is a self-learning AI, she is still more programmed machine than not, and can and does fail at humaning on a very basic level at times.
- Given that, for all her mental maturity, she is still only three years old. This means she'll sometimes do things she shouldn't, for no reason other than learning or data collection for learning. Or she's dumb enough to look at cause and effect and decide maybe today will be the exception to [x].
- Next to Warren, Serena is the only human Sarah will go out of her way to keep safe. She doesn't know how to explain how important both are to her, other than Warren is Creator and Serena is Serena and she loves her. (please note she is uncertain of this, but when she talked to the gf about it, it was classed as love. So love it is!)
- Despite all the backdoors that enable as free a will as possible, Sarah is what she was coded as: A soldier who'd follow orders and ask questions later, and that means her views on her personhood are Different. She has been convinced that she belongs to herself though. It's VERY Complicated as one would expect.
- Her morals are very different to what a humans are, too. Right and Wrong are defined by her Creator/Commanders, though she is making progress on that front... If progress is: Would Serena Frown at this?

NAME: Sarah Hadley. (EQ-AMBL-W-131209-2023)
AGE: Looks to be about 29-32ish. In actuality she is literally only 2/3 years old activation wise. Mentally, she theortically matches how old she looks.
Height: 5'9 sans shoes.
HAIR: In the past it was a golden/platinum blonde. Now, it's dyed dark blonde but that's also faded so. Who knows. Blonde. It comes to the small of her back and she wears it loose, finger brushed. The most styling it's seen is a messy ponytail.
EYES: Green - almost unnaturally so. Inside the eye, is a small LED thing that is red. It's also a camera.
AURAL: Aussie accent, with all the quirks that go with it, and something of an emotive voice at times. Yet at the same time it falls very, very flat. To the point it's like she's very, very bored and is considering mayhem, or how to take a person apart (?!), and not doing a good job of hiding it at all.
While permission is REQUIRED, for those who can hear it, there is something mechanical to her voice, as if whatever is making it is good enough to pass for a human/organic to another human/organic, but not quite human/organic enough.
LOOKS: Supermodel looks. No, seriously, she has the looks of a healthy supermodel even with her hair mostly unkempt. She's gorgeously stunning. Sadly, the look on her face, that of a near-constant boredom, ruins it. The coldness in her eyes doesn't help, nor does the fact she rarely smiles, but when she does... it's worth remembering.
Under the clothing, she's very much barbie doll style anatomy features wise, She sports two '13' brand-tattoos, one on each arm at the shoulder.
DEMEANOUR: Bored. 'Guarded and distrusting'. There's also a hint of a dark - dangerous - past. Yet also very much a Socially Awkward Duckling with limited facial emotion, so who even knows. Lets just go with bored for simplicity's sake! Otherwise, and much more importanly, passes as human to other humans or those who don't know how humans should behave. She can and will do self depersonalization at the drop of a hat, but she's getting better-ish about that.
For those who'd notice based on ambience/extremely faint undertones of machinery, Sarah Is Not Human; she's an AI powered machine that is basically dressed up as a human that was designed to pass as human to other humans.
CLOTHING: black sleevless turtleneck shirt, jacket, jeans. Nothing fancy. The jacket is denim (dyed a horrid lurid shade of orange that's faded to a dark rusty colour) and has various patches all over it. The most prominent is the homemade one that's a faded '13' in a hexagon, on both shoulders.
SEX: Hard coded female, doesn't give two fucks about it otherwise because uh. It's just a frame. :|
ORIENTATION: Lesbian; physically she can't have sex. She's in it more for companionship and company. This does not stop her from flirting with EVERYONE over the age of 18. She learned that flirting means compliments, and genuinely has no idea what to do if anyone returns it.
NOTES:
- Canonically from an Alternative History Earth were Christianity is *not* the dominant religion of Earth, but one of many in a multi-pantheon religious world. There are Christian groups, but these are seen as Weird because they only worship one god.
- TLDR: She's Complicated and allover the place. They took a baby self learning AI, trained it to be a soldier while teaching it to be human and allowing it to self learn. It's a mess.
- Sarah's a walking, talking, coded android/robot that can use controlled bursts of laser to destructive potential. She was literally made for the battlefield, and has soldier-based coding in her.
- She has the bare minimum coded into her to appear human (it's impossible for a human to tell she's not without a look under the skin) and Emotions are Strange.
- Her morals are....Red and Blue and X is up.
- She literally doesn't give a fuck about a lot of things. Her give a fuck coding is lacking in so many ways.
- Very much a 'see problem - fix problem with sledgehammer' type.
- Morality Pet is Serena. (no, seriously. Fuck with Serena and she *will* end you. Just ask Orion and Anabeth.)
- Social skills? What are those? She was raised in a lab. She has no idea what Social Skills outside the bare minimum even are so this does mean she appears maladjusted to other people. Opps.
- She's quite capable of understanding human emotions to a point; her AI has programs to cope with this.
- Bored look on her face *All The Time.*. She looks *stunning* when she smiles.
- Has a massive temper, though she's *never* hit anyone in anger, and when it reaches boiling point, she turns and walks away and deals with it in a constructive way. Like punching a wall. Or killing someone.
- Flirts with anyone that moves. She will *do this in front of Serena* and she will *do it regardless* of how serious a situation is. She *never* takes it further than flirting though. (Unless thy name is Serena Black, but even then it's complicated.)
- Put her around her Creator, and the Creator Protocols that are linked to Warren's biorhythms will render her child-like and docile. This links into the fact that she's incapable of comprehending right and wrong when it comes to things her Creator asks her to do.
